Meaning you must have phones lying around in your house which are too slow to be used daily. We need to note down the IP address and Port of the webservice which it starts. Ideally we should fix the IP address on the DHCP of our routers.<\/p>\n<p>Next we configure Home Assistant to fetch data from our phone.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nayarweb.com\/blog\/2019\/using-old-android-phone-as-surveillance-cameras-in-home-assistant\/screenshot_20190203_144956\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4135\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4135\" src=\"https:\/\/nayarweb.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Screenshot_20190203_144956.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"237\" height=\"381\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nayarweb.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Screenshot_20190203_144956.png 237w, https:\/\/nayarweb.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Screenshot_20190203_144956-187x300.png 187w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 237px) 100vw, 237px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We then restart Home Assistant and voila! Maybe it is overheating or something but it doesn&#8217;t reboot. It gets stuck on the booting animation.
