It’s the first time i saw the bus “191 Express Curepipe” passing through The University of Mauritius at Reduit. I boarded the bus without knowing it’s route. It did the same route as “173 Curepipe” does till Pont Fer i.e. it passes at Ebene first.
At the round about near SUPERCASH, the bus did not go in the direction of sir Abdool Razack Mohamed Hall. Instead, it continued on the motorway until it reached the Aux Coulee round about.
It then went through Aux Coulee till the Aux Coulee Police Station. From there, it went to Curepipe as other buses usually do.

I can’t tell exactly if the journey took less time. But it was definitely more comfortable 🙂
the 191 express Curpipe bus goes to the immigration square in port Louis ( via couvent street , c.fouquereaux, cybercity, reduit, bagatelle) whereas the 162 express curepipe stops at victoria bus stand.
This service was only available during peak hours on weekdays:
from curepipe : 6 45 – 8 45
14 45 – 1645
from port louis (img sqr): 6 45 – 8 45
15 30 – 17 30
But since bagatelle has opened its doors i’ve noticed that a regular service is being supplied approximately every 30 minutes.
To note that the bus fare from Immigration Square to CPE (And vice versa) is a bit higher but this bus saves you time and the pain of having to travel to Victoria square to take a CPE bus.
This said, the Immigration Square 191 bus is a bit more “Express”ing than the 162 Curepipe Express bus from Victoria Square. (Drives to destination much quicker)
During my college days, I used to take the 191 from Curepipe to PL everyday.
How was it more comfortable? Less people on the bus? Better seats? What exactly?
@Clever Dodo:
It goes on motorway instead of broken roadson which there are bus stops at every inch.
The motorway is much smoother 🙂
